What is PLEDGE?

Pledge is a solemn promise to Allah to believe in Him and to follow:

Allah’s commandment and Those of His prophet Muhammad (s.a.w) and The promised Messiah (a.s) and Khalifa-e-Ahmadiyya . It’s also a promise to do all good and lead a moral life.

I bear witness that • there is none worthy of worship • except Allah. • He is One • (and) has no partner, • and I bear witness • that Muḥammad (peace be upon him) • is His servant and messenger.

I solemnly pledge • that I shall endeavor • throughout my life • for the propagation • and consolidation • of Aḥmadiyyat in Islam, • and shall stand guard • in defense of • the institution of Khilafat. • I shall not hesitate • to offer any sacrifice • in this regard. • Moreover, • I shall exhort my children • to always remain dedicated • and devoted • to Khilafat. • Insha’allah.

Text in parenthesis is not in the original Arabic text and has been added in the translation. “•” in the text indicates where person leading the pledge should pause to allow members to repeat the same portion.
